As childcare providers parents place their trust in you to protect the precious lives of their little ones. However, accidents can and do happen, even in the safest and most prepared childcare businesses. So whether you are just starting out as a childcare provider or you are a seasoned provider, CPR and First Aid training is not only a good idea, it is required. NSTS classes are approved by the Iowa Department of Human Services and Iowa Child Care Resource as a provider of First Aid and CPR training. This class can cover anyone's requirements for First Aid, CPR and AED. Call and ask Kate about your needs.

PLEASE NOTE:

First Aid/CPR (AED) internet training is approved by DHS (Department of Human Services) ONLY if there is an in-person demonstration component.

IF TAKING ONLINE BLENDED LEARNING, YOU STILL NEED SKILLS INSTRUCTOR IN PERSON CLASS WITH NSTS TO BE DHS COMPLIANT. AHA- HEARTSAVER PEDIATRIC FIRST AID, CPR & AED:

The National Safety Training Service, LLC offers Adult/Pediatric First Aid, and CPR/AED. If you are interested in *Universal Precaution (UP) training for childcare home and Center providers, please contact Kate White directly at 319-366-4769. Participants pay: $65.00 for taking both First Aid and CPR/AED; $40.00 for CPR/AED; $35.00 for First Aid only. We offer classes through both the ATEM (American Trauma Event Management) and American Heart Association. Both are recognized by DHS (Department of Human Services) as approved providers for accreditation.

In case of bad weather, PLEASE call Kate White at 319-366-4769 or check our website to see if class is cancelled. Class begins promptly. In order to get full credit for the class (s), please be on time! If more than 10 minutes late, you will have to reschedule. Class will be filled on a first come, first served basis. You will receive a phone call (or text) and be notified if the class is full on the date you have registered for.
